Blog homepageOn the homepage, users see the 5 most recent blog entries, and various ways of navigating content. Administrators have full control over the look & feel of the homepage. Browse content by monthThis overview displays all blog entries in a specified month. Administrators can choose to enabled or disable the month picker on the homepage. Browse content by tagThis overview displays all blog entries of a certain tag. Administrators can choose to enable or disable the tag picker on the homepage. Users can even subscribe to specific tags on your blog. And, tags can also be displayed in a tag cloud. A tag cloud visualizes the popularity of tags by scaling the font size: ArticleBesides blog entries, authors can also write articles. Articles have the same abilities as blog entries, yet are published less chronologically. The homepage contains prominent links to the last 10 articles, but Administrators can choose to disable this. PagePages have the same abilities as blog entries and articles, but are typically static and linked to the site's menu definition. A good example of the usage of a page is an About or FAQ page. Searching for contentNo matter where you are, the search box is always visible. The search mechanism allows for traditional search query syntax. The search results include content of all types: blog entries, articles, pages and comments. Comment on a blog entryPer blog entry or article the author can choose to enable or disable ratings and/or commenting. The rating and commenting form is simple, yet intuitive, and provides basic protection against comment spamming. From the comment section, users can also submit the article in question to social bookmarking sites, such as digg.com. Content feedsTo be informed of new content that matters to you, three basic feeds are included: one for new blog entries and articles, one for articles only, and one for new comments. Next to these allround feeds, users can also subscribe to individual categories of topics, using the feed link in the category panel. LoginWeblog administrators can log in by clicking the lock icon on the homepage. This gives them secure access to the web based administration facilities. Managing blog entriesIn the administration panel, administrators can manage the blog entries. From here new blog entries can be created, deleted or updated. Creating a blog entryFrom the administration panel, administrators can create a new blog entry. Creating one is simple, all it requires is filling out a simple web form. The web form has options for categorizing your entry, comments and rating control and a live web preview. Managing commentsIn the administration panel, administrators can manage comments. This may include removing unwanted comments or correcting typos. You can even ban unwanted IPs from future commenting on your blog. These features come on top of a top-notch automatic comment spam prevention system. Managing pagesIn the administration panel, administrators can manage pages. Pages are used for both static content and stylesheets. The online stylesheet editing feature gives you full control over the look & feel of the site. That static pages you can use to create content that you typically link to your site's menu, i.e. for an About or FAQ page. Creating a pageFrom the administration panel, administrators can create static pages and stylesheet pages. Creating a page works similar to creating a blog entry. A page can later be linked to a site menu link. Managing resourcesFrom the administration panel, administrators can manage resources. Resources are files that you upload to make them available in your content. Often they are used to include images and attachments in your blog entries. They are also used to determine the look & feel of the site. Creating a resourceFrom the administration panel, administrators can create new resources. A resource is basically a labelled group of files that you upload. Administration setupIn the administration panel, users can manage the configuration of their weblog. This includes the description, titles, menu definition, navigation blocks to include and search engine options. Google AdSense supportBlogo allows you to include ad systems, such as Google AdSense. Specificially for Google AdSense, an optimization feature is available. When enabled, only relevant parts of your web page will be taken as input to Google to generate context-sensitive ads. Notes client supportBlogo has basic Notes client support. It allows you to quickly navigate through all content using a set of views. This is particularly handy for copying/pasting content and the mass deletion of content, tasks that are more time consuming on the web.
